About the founder
Kelly J Townsend MAS-IFP
Kelly Townsend was originally trained as a birth doula with DONA in 1994 and has in the past been a certified birth doula and birth doula trainer through DONA, certified in1997. She is also a certified childbirth educator (ICCE) through the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA). In addition to her work as a doula, she holds a Master's degree in Infant Family Practice and is currently pursuing a second master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. As a published author and her work on policy, she brings a unique experience to her work and is passionate about continuing to educate and empower the next generation of doulas.

Going forward
Cascade is a recognized birth Doula and childbirth education certification organization, that trains/certifies paraprofessionals from a Christian perspective.
Although not operating momentarily, Cascade will be resuming this function in the near future, Lord willing.
